The following are general warnings and precautions.
- Turn the flow generator on first before fitting the mask. A nasal mask should not be worn unless the CPAP is operating properly.
- CPAP systems are not life support devices. CPAP devices have no internal battery and may stop operating with a power interruption.
- Consult your clinician or your Air Liquide Healthcare professional immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms during your CPAP treatment:
- Headache
- Middle ear or sinus discomfort
- Chest pain
- Dryness of the nose, mouth or throat
- Feeling slightly bloated
- Air continuously leaking out of the mouth while asleep
- Recurrence of any sleep apnea symptoms while on CPAP
- If you are experiencing dry, sore nasal passages or dry mouth/throat, humidifier system might be needed. Please contact your Air Liquide Healthcare professional or sleep physician.
- Skin irritation may occur from sensitivity to the mask materials or from excessively tight headgear straps. A correctly fitted mask and appropriately adjusted straps will often prevent skin irritation. If problems persist, contact your clinician or Air Liquide Healthcare representative for advice.
- Do not stop your CPAP treatment without the approval of your clinician. You should contact your sleep physician if you expect to be in a situation where you cannot use your CPAP overnight.
- Any change in your pressure setting must be prescribed by a Sleep Specialist.
