The Hornsby Sleep Disorders and Diagnostic Centre was established in 1988 and was the first private sleep service in Australia. This facility is licensed by the NSW Department of Health as a Private Hospital and is accredited through the Benchmark group to ISO 9001 standards.

SDCA also has sleep investigation units within The Strathfield Private Hospital, Strathfield, The Hills Private Hospital at Baulkham Hills and The Dudley Private Hospital at Orange. All sleep studies are reviewed and reported by specialist sleep physicians.

An overnight sleep study at one of our facilities typically incorporates the monitoring and measurement of brain waves to identify the stages of sleep, together with respiratory airflow and effort, snoring, heart rate and rhythm, blood oxygen levels, muscle tone and any other parameters requested by the referring physician. The sleep study is pain free and conducted in hotel style private rooms.
