Prescriber Support:

• Direct processing of all eligible Home Oxygen Application Forms.
• Liaise with DVA for any medical criteria prior approval requirements.
• Prescriptive Home Oximetry Data Collection Service to assess the veterans’ ongoing oxygen
• requirements nocturnally, at rest and during exercise and to evaluate whether Portable Oxygen Concentrator systems meet the veterans’ medical oxygen requirements.
• Prescriber reminder notices of annual prescription review dates for veterans on oxygen therapy.

Veteran Support:

• Home setups by healthcare professionals ensuring the safe use of oxygen and importance of compliance to prescriptions.
• Provision of a copy of the Australian Lung Foundation booklet, “Getting started on Home Oxygen” to ensure a consistent approach to education. This booklet provides a comprehensive review of all aspects of oxygen therapy.
• Assistance for travel arrangements both intra and interstate
• Back up cylinder oxygen automatically provided in areas prone to blackouts/natural disasters and when prescriptions are over 16 hours of oxygen use per day.
• Largest selection of portable oxygen including ‘portable oxygen concentrators’ and the lightweight ‘B ‘ Cylinder
• 24/7 support by a dedicated healthcare team
